I think it’s safe to say everyone likes a good bargain, whether it’s a new pair of shoes or something new for your home you get the same thrill therefore it’s good to know that you do not have to fork out a fortune in order to update the look of your home. In fact there are some great and simple ideas to give your home a little makeover that will not cost the earth and can be done in a day;

- Get rid of unwanted items in order to create more space and pay a visit to the charity shop.
- Clean your home from top to toe; it will make you feel better and make it look a lot better.
- Repaint your walls if they look a little dingy or even the skirting as it will make your home look cleaner and fresher.
- Move around your accessories, it will give the illusion that you have redecorated.
- If you cannot afford to replace your cupboard then why not just replace the handles and door knobs to give the illusion that they are brand new.
