Insulation is the key to a cosy winter

Posted under Blog by Khalid

The temperature is really dropping fast; the rain and wind are now bellowing therefore it is time to start wrapping up. Scarves, hats and gloves are among the many winter warmers that people are manically hunting for but for some they are even wearing them indoors to help avoid costly energy bills once the winter bite is over.

Thankfully this is not the only way to keep warm during winter as many home owners are now investigation as the amount of people taking the appropriate measures to insulate their home is on the increase. One of the best way to lock in heat is by fitting double glazed windows through Northern Scotland Joinery, however, if you have already taken this smart step then there is still plenty more you can do.

It is a great time to walk round your home to look for any gaps or cracks which make it easy for wind to come through as such areas are a real source of energy loss. Insulating pipes is also greatly recommended by experts as they can actually be prone to freeze and even explode when it gets very chilly which many of us are sadly accustomed to during winter.
